- 9:30-11, Weird, Wild, & Wonderful: An adventure into the world of the wackiest, weirdest, and most wonderful creatures and science phenomenon's you’ve ever imagined! In this fun-filled, interactive class, explore the magical and mysterious creatures, plants, and phenomena that thrive in our world. Through hands-on activities like drawing, storytelling, and projects, students will discover bizarre animals with strange abilities (like the axolotl, which can grow back its limbs!) learn about fossils that shine like gold, and many more wild and wonderful things about our most amazing world!
- 11-12:30, Meteorology 101: From thrilling storms and calming rains to heat waves and cold snaps, explore all the ways things keep growing and changing on our Earth in this engaging science unit. We will explore the sun's energy, the water cycle, and atmospheric conditions that drive daily forecasts and long-term climate patterns. We will be using The Good & The Beautiful: Weather & Water as the spine for this class. Although this is a faith based curriculum, the class is not. Students will complete the Student Journal for grades 7-8, create a timeline of important weather history and events along with several hands-on experiments and projects.
