Our students have the advantage of having a wide variety of skills taught in an engaging way that makes learning second nature.
All our group sessions touch upon these important skills:
cre·a·tiv·i·ty: noun
the state or quality of being creative, the ability to transcend traditional ideas, rules, patterns, relationships, or the like, and to create meaningful new ideas, forms, methods, interpretations, etc.; originality, progressiveness, or imagination
Creativity occurs when students are able to use their imagination along with critical thinking skills to create new and meaningful forms of ideas. This offers room where they can take risks, be independent, curious, and flexible. Instead of being taught to reiterate what was learned, students develop their ability to find multiple solutions to a problem.
Encouraging creativity, in the simplest form, is giving students the freedom to explore, be curious, and come up with new ways of problem solving during their learning journey. You do not need to be an artist to be creative!
Every student gets to be a part of our Student Project Book and can order a copy for fellow classmates to autograph at our Student Book Release Party held in May.
It's a memorable way to end the year and for students to have a beautiful reminder of their time with us.
Twice a year, friends and families are invited to come in to the studio and view all of the work students have put into their projects and portfolio books! This is a great way to practice presentation skills and gain valuable feedback for other members of our learning community.
Student Exhibition is a big shindig that our families don't miss out on and look forward to!
We shy away from teaching : religion, politics, race, sex education, and gender as we believe as parents, it's up to you to discuss your beliefs with your children.
If any of these topics come up in conversation, we gently remind students that they are discussing an at-home topic and to continue the conversation at home with their family.
We pull from our extensive on-site library and other resources to create experiential and highly creative sessions that are a constant evolution to meet the needs of each child.
As a tutoring center, we are not a part of a school or under the umbrella of the public school system, we do not ask for health forms or vaccination status.
We were mask optional for the pandemic and will continue to remain mask optional if mask mandates are reinstated.
Tutoring fee includes all curriculum, materials, and supplies.
Private tutoring fees, group tutoring sessions, workshops, and mini-sessions, can be paid in monthly payments.
